Supporting the Urban Health Council

The Urban Health Council is a programme funded through donations, sponsorship and grants, which means that we are able to guide our science outside the influence of governing bodies, who can often steer science towards a specific output or to fit a top down narrative. This results in science that is empathetic, intersectional, accurate, and in symbiosis with People and Planet.

It also allows us to keep our research open, creating democratic access to valuable scientific information about health that is of public interest.

Case Study

Lendlease Europe

Lendlease are a global construction and urban development firm. They used their support package to develop an Urban Health Toolkit for their development and placemaking teams.

“the Urban Health Council is helping the Lendlease place and development teams advance our understanding of the key health issues people face in the cities where we work. Health is crucial to meeting our company goals of creating places where communities thrive and the Health Council is giving us the insights we need to make that happen. We’re proud to be lead sponsors of this important work.”
